$100 First Purchase Bonus from Citi Professional

The Citi Professional card has a promotion in which they will give you 10,000 ThankYou Network points after your first purchase. The 10,000 points is good for a $100 gift card, which is a nice little perk for signing up to a credit card.

If you’re a balance transfer arbitrager, the Citi Professional Card also offers a 0% balance transfer for 9 months and often gives a high credit limit. My recommendation is to get the card, make a purchase, pay off the purchase, and then request the 0% balance transfer. You get some immediate cash and then the interest earned from the balance transfer.

As if all that wasn’t enough, you get 3 ThankYou points for each dollar you spend at restaurants, gas stations, auto rentals, and certain office supply merchant.
