Chase has a new $100 promotional offer for their Chase Free Checking account with Direct Deposit. Usually an ACH transfer from another bank will count, so link it up with one of your other high yield savings accounts such as ING (need a ING Direct referral?) and that should count. The hundred bucks will be deposited 4-6 weeks after your direct deposit.
Quick points to note:
- New money is required,
- Valid through May 31st, 2008
- Account must be open for six months
- No fee if you have a direct deposit or 5+ debit purchases each statement period

That Chase offer is bullshit. After the promotion link sent me to an application that didn’t offer the promotion, I called Chase.
Their representatives are not at all knowledgeable–they didn’t even have internet access (supposedly) to help me with the issue. As a last resort, they directed me to other representatives who were equally clueless. A waste of time and an obvious scam. Did anyone actually receive the advertised $100?
I brought the Coupon to my Chase, branch, months ago opened an account with the required $100, used my Card for 5 credit card purchases, and was supposed to receive the advertised $100 bonus within 6 weeks, I called twice about not receiving it months after and was told twice I would get it, last time I called, I was informed there is no info on my account re: any bonus, so there you have it, Bank`s are now not honouring their offers, + seem`s like it is bordering on Deception, possibly fraudulent.
Chase offers are scams. I signed up online with an offer to receive $100 after 5 debits. After entering promotional code and creating account, I never saw reference to the $100 promotion so I called Chase and was told by Chase employee “everything is fine, your account will be credited in 60 days”. After 60 days, sent email online, went into Chase (45 mins), called (45 mins) only to be told they didn’t see that promotion linked to my account. They also have no record of my phone call. BIG WASTE OF TIME. Don’t bank with Chase! They are liars and scam artists.
yes, but it was $125 promotion to be exact, that i did. but i went in the bank, not online… got my money rather quickly too
