Ever try to buy tickets on Ticketmaster a minute after the “virtual Box Office” opened to find out that they were totally sold out? You might want to blame all the scalpers out there with their auto-ticket-buying computer “bots” but would you be surprised to learn that you’re actually running in the wrong race? Listening to the wrong gun? That’s right, waiting for the general public box office to open is like running in the second pack at a marathon. What you want is to get the pre-sale codes for the concert or event and begin chasing after tickets in the first race.
How do you do that? Well you can scour the internet to find the code, sometimes having to pay a dollar or two to someone, or sign up to a performer’s or event’s fan club! That’s right, if you are a huge fan of Bon Jovi, for example, and you sign up to Backstage with Jon Bon Jovi then they will send you the codes for free. It won’t guarantee you a ticket but at least you’ll have a chance.
