Citibank has had a history of offering $200 bonuses for opening new checking accounts with them and they’ve recently released their latest promotional code: CEMX.
To take advantage, visit the Citibank Offer Page and enter CEMX in the box to get the page containing the application. Unfortunately, the application page doesn’t tell you anything about the details of the CEMX promotion but you can confirm the promotion if you hit the live chat button on the left. You can also call up Citibank at 1-800-374-9500.
The requirements for this promotion mirror those in the past:
- Open and fund a Citibank regular checking account (EZ Checking Account doesn’t apply) with at least $1,000 by 6/30/08.
- Establish a direct deposit or make two bill payments from your account each month for three months. (This is when you get the first $100 bonus payment)
- Continue direct deposits or bill payments for another three months. (This is when you get the second $100 bonus payment)
To avoid fees, you need to have a balance of over $6,000 to avoid fees.
